The one day workshop on Cleanrooms held in Bangalore on 21 May 2016 was very popular, attracting 80 delegates against an anticipated audience of 60! The event was organized by CCSI (Contamination Control Society of India) in association with ISHRAE (Indian Society of Heating, Refrigeration Engineers) and ASHRAE Bangalore Chapters.

Topics on the agenda were:

  • Cleanroom Basics and construction protocol
  • HEPA Filter Integrity & Efficiency Standards/Testing
  • Revised ISO 14644 Standards
  • FAQs on Particle Counting & HEPA Filter Testing
  • Cleanroom Design in Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Cleanroom Design in Nanotechnology

Topics 3 & 4 were covered by Sheesh Gulati, Chairman CCSI and the subject matter of topic 2 was covered by Sant Advani, Secretary CCSI. The delegates were delighted to hear that CCSI has recently received accreditation from ICCCS for its two day Associate Level Course on Cleanroom Technology Theory and Practice and was keen to know when this course would start. They were informed that the course would first be held in Mumbai towards the end of September, followed every 6 months in other cities like Hyderabad, Ahmedabad etc.
